The contribution and support provided by the GOC’s Medical Physics Team is crucial and important. They work-out the radiotherapy plan and in collaboration with the radiation oncologists determine how the dose will be delivered to the target tumor. They are also responsible for ensuring the quality of radiotherapy. The Department is headed by the Coordinators-Medical Physicists Giannis Rousakis and Georgios Antorkas and is staffed by Maria Nikolaou, Chrysanthi Michailidou, Andrea Hadjipantelis, and Styliana Savvas.

The Team is complemented by Radiotherapy Technologists, who operate the linear accelerators, are responsible for the daily placement and irradiation of patients and manage their needs.
They are: Melka Benjamin (Head of the Radiotherapy Technologists), Andreas Nikou, Sofia Kutsniashvili, Mary Peratikou, David Neophytou, Iphigenia Kleanthous, Pantelina Hadjichristou and Maria Athanasiou.
