Yiota Nikolaou

Dr. Anastasios Papadopoulos was born in 1983 in Tripoli, Arcadia Greece, and grew up in Patras. He studied at the Medical School of the University of Patras, where he graduated in 2009. He then specialized in Pathological Oncology at the Jubileumskliniken Oncology Clinic of the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. As a specialist in pathological oncology he is particularly interested in breast cancer and tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as tumors of unknown primary justification.

The strategy in cancer treatment does not depend only on medication or radiation therapy. It is focuses on an individualized approach for each and every patient separately.

The modern approach in dealing with a patient with cancer, requires combined cooperation and knowledge of many specialties.

It’s like a puzzle of 1000 pieces, extremely difficult to complete on your own. But, as a member of an oncology team, the chances of solving the puzzle in a timely and successful way are much more.
So, being on the side of the medical oncologist, I carefully add my own pieces in order to help solve the problem.
